Our name is derived from the daytime parties of the 80s and 90s, where young British Asians skipped school to dance to bhangra, garage, and jungle in community spaces. In homage, DAYTIMERS continues to provide a space for those rebellious South Asians that are far more interested in exploring their creative sides than the tropes of parental expectation. As our community continues to expand beyond the UK, we’re stoked to bring the DAYTIMERS vibes to Berlin, in efforts to make the scene more accessible for its South Asian diaspora. After hosting two parties in Berlin in 2024, to an incredible reception, we’re more excited than ever to keep cultivating this beautiful creative community.
