Kinky CSD Weekend in Berlin 2026: The Parade, the Preparty and the Afterparty
Berlin does Pride like nowhere else. When Christopher Street Day rolls around, the whole city tilts toward the streets — a million people, sound systems on wheels, glitter on every corner, and a party calendar so full you couldn't get to all of it if you tried. There are rooftop brunches and drag shows, open-air stages and neighbourhood block parties, family-friendly afternoons and sweaty basement nights. Whatever your version of Pride looks like, Berlin has it.
But if your version leans kinky — if you want techno, fetish flair and a dancefloor with no dress rehearsal — there's one plan we'd point you to without hesitation. After a sold-out run last year, the crew behind UNLEASHED is back, and this time they've stretched a single sold-out night into a full weekend. Two parties at INSOMNIA, 15 DJs in total, and the biggest Pride demonstration in the country running right between them. This one is going to be wild.
First, the main event. Then, how to go kinky around it.
The Parade: Berlin CSD 2026
The heart of the weekend is the parade itself. Saturday, 25 July 2026 marks the 48th Christopher Street Day in Berlin — Germany's largest Pride demonstration and one of the biggest in Europe. This year's motto is "Haltung ist Hot" ("Attitude Is Hot"), a reminder that Pride in Berlin has always been equal parts celebration and protest.
It's worth remembering how far this has come. The first Berlin CSD took place in 1979 with a few hundred marchers. Today, roughly one million people fill the city's central streets each year — a moving sea of rainbow flags, floats, sound systems and hand-painted signs. And crucially, it remains a political demonstration: free to join, open to everyone, whether you march the whole route, ride a float, or cheer from the curb with a drink in hand.
When and where it starts
The official opening takes place at 11:30 on Leipziger Straße, at the corner of Charlottenstraße. The first float rolls out at 12:00 noon. From there the procession moves slowly through the centre of the city, and the first participants are expected to reach the closing rally at around 15:30.
The route
The 2026 demonstration follows the same central route Berlin has used in recent years, winding from Mitte through Schöneberg — the historic heart of the city's queer life — and on to the Tiergarten:
Leipziger Straße → Potsdamer Platz → Potsdamer Straße → Bülowstraße → Nollendorfplatz → Kleiststraße → An der Urania → Schillstraße → Lützowplatz → Klingelhöferstraße → Hofjägerallee → Großer Stern (Victory Column) → Straße des 17. Juni → Brandenburg Gate.
The closing rally takes place at the Brandenburg Gate, on Straße des 17. Juni, with a stage programme, speeches and performances running into the evening. Selected floats continue up Straße des 17. Juni toward the Gate to close out the march.
Good to know
- It's free. CSD is a political demonstration — no ticket, no entry fee, come as you are.
- Getting there. The route is threaded with U- and S-Bahn stations (Potsdamer Platz, Nollendorfplatz, Wittenbergplatz and Kurfürstenstraße are all handy); expect closures and detours around the corridor, so public transport beats driving every time.
- Accessibility. Organisers provide barrier-reduced zones, sign-language interpretation at the closing rally, and accessible toilets along the route, with details published closer to the day.
- Pace yourself. It's a long, hot day on your feet. Water, sunscreen, comfortable shoes — and a plan for the night ahead.
Full route details and updates are on the official CSD Berlin site.
Going Kinky: The Weekend Plan
So the parade is your Saturday afternoon. What about the nights on either side? This is where that sold-out crew comes in. Instead of one party, they've built a two-night arc at INSOMNIA Berlin (Alt-Tempelhof 17–19, 12099 Berlin) — a club well known in the city's kink and sex-positive scene — bookending the parade with a preparty on Friday and the main afterparty on Saturday. Both are 18+, techno-focused, consent-led and sex-positive, with a kinky dress code and phones left at the door.
Here's the shape of it:
- Friday, 24 July — Kinky CSD Preparty by UNDR · 22:00–06:00
- Saturday, 25 July — the CSD parade
- Saturday, 25 July — UNLEASHED Kinky CSD Afterparty · 22:00–06:00
Three moves, two nights, and a combo ticket that ties them together.
Friday: Kinky CSD Preparty by UNDR
The weekend opens with the Kinky CSD Preparty hosted by UNDR, UNLEASHED's mother brand. Doors at 22:00, running till 6 AM across two floors. The Main Floor runs Techno with ELEETE, Miss Unleashed and Jakob Lesch, while downstairs the Dungeon goes harder and faster with a Hard Dance bill from MIMI404 and Tyla Allen.
It's classic INSOMNIA: phone- and camera-free, a refreshments station with fruit and snacks included all night, a couples area, quiet chill corners, and a trained awareness team keeping the space safe.
Saturday: UNLEASHED Kinky CSD Afterparty
When the parade winds down, the weekend's centrepiece takes over. The UNLEASHED Kinky CSD Afterpartystarts early — from 20:00 — so you can come straight off the streets and keep the energy going. This is the night that sold out last year, and it's back bigger: ten DJs across two floors, live performances, and all play areas open.
The Main Floor carries peak-time, melodic techno from Flemish Fetish, Misha Svirid, Marvel Gold and Cøral Negrø, while the Dungeon goes darker and dirtier with three back-to-back pairings: NDNA b2b Omi on Acid, Arni b2b Maze Kashi, and Nick Grater b2b Tankgirl. Sexy techno with a fetish edge — latex, leather, harnesses, chains — in a room built for freedom.
One ticket, both nights
Add it up and it's 15 DJs across the two parties. The smart move is the combo ticket: it covers both Friday and Saturday, and your Friday wristband gets you into the UNLEASHED afterparty on Saturday through the guestlist queue. Tickets for both nights are available via Rausgegangen and Resident Advisor, with door tickets and a reduced student/social rate also available.
The Bottom Line
Berlin's CSD weekend is enormous, and there's no wrong way to do it — march for the cause, dance in the sun, or find your own quiet corner of the celebration. But if you're after the kinky, techno-driven end of Pride, the UNDR and UNLEASHED double-header at INSOMNIA is our strong recommendation for 2026. Preparty Friday, parade Saturday, afterparty Saturday night — a full weekend from a crew that already proved they can sell it out. Come with attitude. It's hot.
